Enamel/Porcelain heavy metal sign in very good, unrestored condition. This is the famous tea cup sign, produced by Patent Enamel Co. Ltd, Birmingham, England, one of the earliest and most renown enamel sign manufacturers. The sign was produced for and used by Southern Railway for station advertising. There is age-related wear, including some lose of enamel to edging and section of letter “E”. These slight imperfections don’t in any way detract from – probably add to – the nostalgia of this fine enamel sign from the 1920’s.

Condition:
Overall very good vintage condition – bright colours with nice texture to lettering with losses to enamel around the edges and to the letter “E”. Completely original with no restoration.
